Exercise: Try this:
Make a list of your neighbors. You will quickly come to realize how many businesses are in homes and how your neighborhood might be a silent cell of workers:

I live in town in Sequim, within 4 blocks of City Hall. Of my immediate neighbors, only including those that I am aware of and those living within 200 feet: 1. Teaches music in his home. He is a teacher. I believe he worked or is working on a degree on line as well. 2. Another studies for his B.S. degree on line. He is a landscaper/laborer. 3. Another does web sites. He is an assistant pastor at a nearby church 4. Another is a photographer and sells his books and his photos through his own web site. 5. Another ran a home school publishing site and did copy-editing as a housewife with 4 children in the home 6. Another has a wireless connection and a router installed in order to have two connections to Net in his home. He and his wife also work OUTSIDE the home. I don’t know how they use their net connection. 7. Then there is my situation. I teach, write, publish, etc., on line and use my wireless connection often. I am "retired". - TP.
